We are in the process of moving offices. Unfortunately, my cube was one of the last to be put together, so it was basically made with the parts that were left over - including a file cabinet that was a little shorter than the top of the work surface. So I looked around the office to find something that was the right height to sit between the top of the file cabinet and the bottom of the desk. I found an ancient Toshiba Satellite laptop - it's probably at least 10 years old - that the office's previous owners had left behind and shoved that in between - it worked perfectly.
